This is a concept of a supermarket experience in augmented reality experience that integrates digital interactions to the physical elements of the Smart store.
The experience is facilitated by Smart inter-connected products like the shopping cart, aisle, shopping list and fridge that synchronise and synthesise data to provide a frictionless experience.
The experience allows for spontaneity rather than an instructive, hand-held shopping experience. This is an abstract of an ongoing research project.
The interactions inform the customer with relevant information such as their past purchases, ingredient warnings, popular items.

Recommended ergonomics for designing for augmented reality illustrates the line of sight, viewing field, field of vision, peripheral vision that help understand placement of information, gesturing area and more.
Customer has the option to adjust the settings to control the information displayed such as turning off the 'liked by' filter to know who else has enjoyed this item, and switching off 'calories' to not display the calorie count of a product.
Smart aisles provide micro-location of items that help navigate between aisles to find the product on the shopping list.
Displaying prices by tagging the product with the price tags when the customer approaches the pay walk. Hassle-free interaction where the purchases don't have to be taken out of the cart to be scanned.
